Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our organization, conducting precise measurements and providing accurate data for various construction and infrastructure projects.
Perform topographic surveys and prepare detailed reportsAnalyze and interpret construction drawings, proposing changes when necessaryEstablish and maintain vertical control data through benchmark observationsVerify and validate survey data and calculations for accuracyResearch legal documents, survey records, and land titles to clarify property boundariesCalculate slopes, plot cross-sectional areas, and determine meeting pointsIdentify existing utilities as per concerned authorities' NOC (No Objection Certificate)Supervise earthwork activities, including embankments, road formations, and pavement layersManage and coordinate all survey-related construction activitiesCollaborate with project engineers, site supervisors, and superintendents to plan upcoming survey needsCalculate quantities for various survey works and prepare daily activity reportsContribute to the development of shop drawings and as-built documentationInspect and verify as-built drawings for accuracy and completenessEnsure proper calibration of survey instruments and maintain relevant certificatesPrepare snag lists before site handover to the clientSupervise and inspect road profiles, speed humps, and streetlight installationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years of experience in land surveying, with Middle East experience preferredProficiency in survey software and CAD programsExtensive knowledge of topographic surveying techniques and equipmentStrong skills in construction drawing interpretation and analysisExperience in vertical control data observation and benchmark establishmentProven ability to verify and validate survey data and calculationsFamiliarity with legal document research related to property boundariesExpertise in slope calculation, cross-sectional area plotting, and quantity estimationKnowledge of local regulations and standards in Abu Dhabi and the UAEExperience in utility identification and coordination with relevant authoritiesStrong mathematical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesEffective communication skills in English, both verbal and writtenAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentExperience with roads and bridges projects is highly desirableFamiliarity with local construction practices and standards in Abu Dhabi is advantageousAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
