D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Land Operations Manager. The right candidate will manage all activities related to off balance sheet strategies and assignment of land and lot deals by collaborating with various internal departments (i.e. land acquisitions, entitlements, development, legal and finance) and building and fostering relationships with external off-balance sheet stakeholders (i.e. lot developers, land/lot bankers, investors, land buyers, etc.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Convert all raw land or bulk-take raw/finished lot deals to finished lot deals on a takedown basis with third-party "Off Balance Sheet" providersCoordinate closely with division land teams early in the acquisition and entitlement process to ensure deals are underwritten, prepared and ready for assignment to third partiesClosely track contract closing deadlines, contract extension requirements, and entitlement/approval schedules in conjunction with assignment executionCoordinate closely with division land development teams to procure current and accurate land development estimates and budgetsNegotiate all legal documents associated with off balance sheet transactions. Work closely with outside and inside legal counsel, including division, region and corporate level resourcesPerform initial financial underwriting for assignment deal analysis, including financial proformas from the third-party perspectiveBuild and maintain strong relationships with third-party lot developers, and land/lot bankersUtilize the Microsoft Dynamics Land CRM to maintain an updated pipeline tracking/communication/forecasting plan to track deals/projects from prospect to deal assignment or property closingImplement training of Analysts, Land Acquisitioners and other land deal assignment/off balance sheet strategy support staffResponsible for managing all assignment/banking deal submissionsUtilize regionally consistent processes, checklists, SharePoint and Filecloud structures to organize and disseminate data and information to both internal and external stakeholdersImplement an acquisition/entitlement/development and assignment hand off meeting to make sure everyone involved understands the deal and any unusual itemsConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnight

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication skillsAbility to multi-task and attention to detail

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000, depending on qualifications and experienceCompetitive Bonus Structure
