This is more than a job — it's an opportunity to lead, educate, and inspire.

What You’ll Do:
As our go-to breastfeeding expert, you’ll be the heart of our lactation support services. Your role combines clinical excellence with education, advocacy, and a healthy dose of heart. Educate staff, peers, and families on best practices in lactation using adult learning techniques

Provide postpartum breastfeeding support through in-person visits, phone consults, and support groups

Be a resource for lactating patients throughout the hospital, including those who are readmitted

Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our breastfeeding programs

Represent our hospital at community events and professional meetings to promote maternal and infant health

Support quality improvement initiatives and provide care that reflects our commitment to safety, inclusion, and excellence

Demonstrate age-appropriate care and communication for patients and families

Maintain professional knowledge of current regulations, compliance policies, and best practices in lactation support

What You Bring to the Table (Requirements)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Current Missouri license as a Registered Nurse

At least two years of experience in obstetrics, inpatient care, or teaching

IBCLC certification through the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners

Current certifications in Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Neonatal Resuscitation

Bonus Points For:
