Job Description

Role Summary: We are looking for an accomplished Regional Social Creative Strategist to lead the evolution and execution of Visa’s social strategy across Latin America. You will collaborate with subregional teams to ensure high-quality, high-performing social executions and develop new social marketing services for our clients. This leader will champion creative excellence, drive performance, and foster a culture of innovation, collaborating closely with subregional teams and agency partners to deliver impactful, high-quality social initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with internal and external creative teams to build brand relevance, ensuring all efforts are aligned with Visa’s broader marketing objectives.
The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive social strategies, guiding creative content production, leveraging platform insights and social listening, and optimizing performance through data-driven analysis. You are experienced in influence partnerships, content storytelling, and translating trends into actionable strategies, with a track record of elevating brand presence in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

 

Essential Functions:
•    Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand relevance for Visa and its clients.
•    Understand high-impact audiences, their needs, and where Visa and its clients can create value in their lives.
•    Articulate how specific social platforms can deliver on brand relevance and business results.
•    Guide and collaborate with regional and local social agencies and partners to ensure alignment with global and regional social vision.
•    Set and model high creative standards, including brand voice and guidelines, leading by example across cross-functional teams.
•    Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous learning within social teams and agency partners.
•    Champion the integration of social listening, audience insights, influencer collaborations, and storytelling into strategic planning.
•    Lead and develop social media strategies and ideas for key initiatives and sponsorships in the region.
•    Align social media efforts with broader marketing objectives for cohesive and impactful brand narratives.
•    Stay current with the latest social media trends, platform best practices, and algorithm shifts to maintain cutting-edge strategies.

 

Key responsibilities:
•    Partner with external agencies and internal stakeholders to develop best-in-class, social-native content, inspiring creativity and collaboration.
•    Translate platform best practices, algorithm shifts, and competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations and creative opportunities.
•    Develop compelling content briefs for internal and external teams to produce high-performing content for Visa and its clients.
•    Collaborate closely with global, regional, and local teams including brand, media, insights & analytics, sponsorships, and client marketing.
•    Work with creative teams to produce content that builds brand positioning and ensures attribution.
•    Recommend actions in new content spaces to keep Visa at the forefront of innovation.
•    Coach, teach, and develop team members and collaborators to create social-first, on-trend, and on-brand content.
•    Partner with global and local teams to maximize Visa’s high-profile sponsorship assets (e.g., F1, FIFA, Olympics) on social platforms.
•    Articulate, socialize, and drive adoption of content best practices across local markets.
•    Monitor, analyze, and report on social media campaign performance, providing actionable insights and optimization strategies.
•    Keep abreast of social celebrity, influencer, and creator trends to inform strategic partnerships and content.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 8 years with an advanced degree such as a Master’s or MBA.
• At least 5 years of experience in social strategy roles, leading digital and social marketing initiatives and working closely with agency partners and social platforms.
• Demonstrated experience as a creative lead and in developing social strategies, with a strong ability to integrate creative insights into strategic planning.
• Proven track record in leading social content production with a focus on storytelling and brand building.
• Deep understanding of the creative and production process, with the ability to collaborate effectively across key functions.
• Experience in social agencies, social platforms, or managing a successful social strategy for a leading brand.
• Highly organized, independent, and self-driven, with the ability to deliver results in fast-paced and dynamic environments with limited resources.
• Recognized as a thought leader, change agent, and champion of innovative marketing approaches.
• Strong initiative and bias for action, able to rally and inspire cross-functional teams and drive execution.
• Up to date with the latest social media trends, best practices, and experience working with social celebrities and creators.
• Skilled in performance measurement and data analysis to optimize social strategies and content effectiveness.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a history of partnering with creative teams, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders.
