Program Purpose:
Dyno Nobel Canada Inc. is implementing a Labourer Trainee Program (the “Program”) designed to increase the number of women employed in its Retail Sales & Operations sites.
Women have been historically underrepresented in mining and explosives industries, and the Program is intended to provide entry level opportunities to women who might not otherwise apply for current vacancies. No formal experience is required and training will be provided to all participant employees.
Eligibility Requirements:
Women who meet the eligibility listed are eligible to apply for the Program. Complete training will be provided to all employees hired into the Program.
Essential Functions:Operate equipment, including hand tools, in support of team, in order to provide timely, safe, and quality service and product to the customerPerform basic maintenance of assigned equipment in order to assure its reliability and safe operationRead gauges and make adjustments to equipment to maintain proper performance in order to assure quality and accurate product deliveryAssist team at site in order to safely serve the customerFollow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in shop, magazine, while operating equipment, and while on blast sites in order to protect personal safety and the safety of othersMaintain safe working conditions at all timesReport all incidents and hazardous conditions to appropriate supervisorsProactively support safety programs by participating in training and safety meetings
