Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the LAKE TEXOMA ANNEX IN GRAYSON COUNTY. Responsibilities Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from tracks, dollies, etc, moves heavy boxes, cartons or luggage by hand, handtruck, or dolly; opens crates and boxes using crowbars, and cuts bands using shears; stacks boxes and cartons where directed. Uses shovel, digs ditches and trenches where a pick is not needed to loosen the dirt, and where the dirt, and where grading and sloping is not required; fills holes and dirt and levels bumps and low places, using shovel, hand tamper and rake. Runs hand lawnmowers or (domestic type) powered lawnmowers, when this does not require heavy physical effort (for example on steep grades); clears small trees and bushes, using handsaw, hatchet, or clipper. Moves and arranges furniture as directed; shovels snow from sidewalks; washes and waxes cars and trucks by hand or power buffer. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: No previous experience or training is required. Must be able to use, control and clean common hand tools and simple power equipment. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry medium to heavy object up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. Subject to satisfactory completion of National Agency Check. Subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment physical. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
