We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor/Laborer to join our team at the Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, GA. **Summary/General Description of Job:** This role involves maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in our facilities, as well as performing various laborer tasks to support the overall operations of the buildings and project support. Laborer duties to include but not limited to, support the maintenance team with miscellaneous helper type task, support for warehouse operations consisting of material organization and material counts, and providing escorts services for subcontractors working on base. **Essential Duties & Job Functions:** § Provide cleaning of restrooms to include floors, toilets and vanities and restock supplies for the Jacobs occupied buildings to include: • Cleaning of the Employee Mess Area • Cleaning of Drinking Fountains • Emptying of Waste Containers • Cleaning of Walk-Off Mats • Vacuum of Carpets and Rugs • Sweeping and Dust Mopping • Damp Mopping • Wax tile/linoleum floors § Performs laborer tasks which require mainly physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill or prior work experience. § The following tasks are typical of this occupation: loads and unloads trucks and other conveyances; moves supplies and materials to proper location. § Provide escorts services on base as needed. § Support warehouse operations consisting of material organization, material counts, etc. § Performs other related duties as assigned. **Accountable For:** • Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives. • Timely and cost-effective performance of duties. • Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work. • Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations. • Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices. • Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures. • Having the ability to work well under pressure. **Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):** **Mandatory** • High school diploma or equivalent • Previous janitorial, cleaning, or laborer experience preferred • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Must meet and maintain company physical and security requirements. • Must possess good communication skills for a service team environment. • Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record. • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. • U.S. Citizenship.
