Job Description

Design, facilitate, and perform training.

Key results areas:

Coordinate training activities for colleaguesFor training activities that are not delivered by the trainer, the trainer will coordinate schedules and documentation on behalf of the trainee.Outcome: Trainees are fully ready to perform work (quality and quantity) within the desired amount of time (determined by testing technique) after starting in the department. Each subsequent training (technique) is completed in 7 days (or other appropriate length of time as dictated by the testing technique).Administer training records to maintain compliance with policy and regulationOutcome: all employees in the dept have training records up to date at all times.Monitor training recordsCreate technical training content (curriculum creation)Over the course of 10 months, prepare full training sequences and material for each technique in the department. Includes presentations, quizzes, documentation forms, etc.Outcome: Created training materials can be effectively delivered by any trainer. Trainees are successful after taking the training.Deliver (perform) trainingExecute direct, hands-on, training with trainees.Coach and evaluate new employees on their technical training performance via review of their data, practice assignments, and one on one feedback

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge, skills, and values

BS in Microbiology or other science degree3+ years of experience working in a lab setting (Microbiology preferred)Ability to work in the US without immediate or future sponsorshipPrevious teaching or facilitation experiencePrevious experience designing trainingAbility to quickly learn many lab techniques and content areasAbility to diagnose and close knowledge gaps and skill gaps in traineesProblem-solving skills, good judgement and versatility in dealing with peopleAbility to coordinate multiple priorities, long-range thinking, ability to move a concept or idea through to reality, self-motivation, organizational abilitiesEffective written and oral communication, work independently, cooperative and pleasant attitude with clients and coworkers, high degree of flexibilityTechnical writing skillsApplies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateDemonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctuality

Additional Information

Working schedule will be Full-Time, First Shift, 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. 25% travel may be required for this position. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
