POSITION SUMMARY:
Marathon Petroleum Company LP, a recognized leader in the energy industry, is accepting applications for a Lab Tester position in its Ohio Refining Division's Laboratory Department at the Canton, Ohio Refinery. This position offers immediate responsibility and a generous benefits package. This position is unionized and follows an 8-hour rotating shift schedule. Overtime may be required as conditions warrant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform multiple analytical tests at the same time with strict adherence to procedures.Provide quality control analyses on all intermediate streams and finished products of the refinery with high accuracy as well as technical support to the process.Perform routine calibration and maintenance of equipment.Initiate certificates of analysis according to product specification requirements.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry OR an equivalent 4-year science degree with at least 16 hours of Chemistry is required.A valid driver's license is required.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong mechanical aptitude, organization skills, verbal and written communication skills are required.Prior lab experience in petroleum applications is preferred.Experience with gas chromatography and wet chemistry is preferred.Experience with Microsoft Office applications and LIMS is preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
