FlexStaff is seeking Laboratory Technologists (Blood Bank & Hematology units ) for our client, a leading hospital in Queens. This is a great opportunity for career growth and professional development within a dynamic and supportive environment.
This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Evening and Night Shifts available:
+ 4pm-12 midnight
+ 12 midnight- 8am
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Maintains a program of quality control and participates in a program of quality assurance.
+ Advises staff on appropriate methods and techniques.
+ Oversees the ordering and maintenance of laboratory supplies and equipment as well as the preparation, packaging, labeling, and standardization of laboratory media and reagents; and records results and pertinent data of prepared products or oversees this function.
+ Prepares labels, packages, and standardizes laboratory media, reagents, controls and specimens for use in analyses.
+ Prepares work orders for laboratory repairs.
+ Assists in developing and revising laboratory policies and procedures.
+ Conducts tests and/or other complex analyses.
+ Designs and maintains charts, logs, and other records.
+ Testifies in court or other proceedings as an expert witness.
+ May prepare correspondence and narrative/statistical reports.
+ May participate in or supervise the preparation, administration, and rating of laboratory proficiency test programs.
REQUIREMENTS
+ Valid clinical laboratory technologist, cytotechnologist, or histotechnologist limited or provisional permit issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
+ One (1) year of full-time experience as a technologist in a clinical laboratory or blood bank.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $97,256-$97,256/year
