Role Purpose:
This position focuses on fungicide research and disease control through micro profiling screening. The role combines hands-on laboratory work with scientific analysis, emphasizing the development and execution of screening methods for both routine and specialized testing. The scientist will contribute to patent development while working collaboratively across teams with a strong digital approach.
Accountabilities:
Planning and executing scientific experiments independently while managing schedulesSupporting experimental programs in consultation with management and scientific expertsDocumenting experiments, interpreting data, and proposing follow-up actionsMaintaining comprehensive lab journals for test reproducibilityManaging laboratory equipment, instruments, and facilitiesDeveloping and improving methods, SOPs, and risk assessmentsImplementing digital solutions and process improvementsParticipating in cross-functional projects and establishing networksProviding technical training and guidance to team membersCommunicating results through reports and presentationsContributing to operational efficiency improvements through cross-functional collaborationEnsuring HSE and biosafety compliance with Syngenta standardsCompany Description

Qualifications
Apprenticeship, BMS, or BSc in Agrobiology or related technical fieldFluency in English and GermanPreferably 2-3 years laboratory experienceExperience in crop protection experimentationDigital literacy and technical competenceStrong commitment to continuous learning and developmentExcellent knowledge sharing and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively across different functionsAdaptable to changeTeam-oriented mindset
