**Description** **SCHEDULE: Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm** **Pay Rates: $18.30/hour** **GENERAL SUMMARY:** Under general supervision performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a microbiology laboratory. Duties usually consist of setting samples for microbial testing; making dilutions of food and environmental samples, setting samples for pathogens testing. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Performs laboratory work according to prescribed standards. + Determines microbial loads in food and environmental samples. + Sets up, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments. + Analyzes samples. Performs laboratory tests according to prescribed standards + Tests samples to verify conformity to specifications.
