Laboratory technician
Failure Analysis lab is responsible to analyze customer returns from field, plant and 0km and based on the analysis results and samples behavior determined the failure mode that is affecting them, this in a cycle time stablished to satisfy the internal and external customer requirements. Failure Analysis Lab also gives support during PV / DV failures, identifying if the failure mode observed is related to the changes under validations or related to any other factor. **General Responsibilities** + Material control of inventory in the laboratory. + Equipment maintenance. + Test set up according specification + Monitoring test running + Material preparation before testing set up + Assembly connections with pneumatics, hydraulic, mechanic and electrical. + 5S methodology + Documentation update + PLC knowledge + Labview knowledge + 3D/2D software knowledge + Improvement/upgrade equipment and/or set up testing + Drawing interpretation + Test failure analysis + Result interpretation **Experience / Qualifications** + TSU or Partial engineering or experience on technician position + Electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics, mechanical experience + Experience with company methodology (p.ex. 5S, quality procedures, safety methodology) + Microsoft office tools experience + Basic English to work with manuals and general documentation **General Responsibilities:** + Inspect product functions, perform, and monitor test based on established procedures, set and prepare equipment to perform the specified test. + Follow procedures to perform test to the product and at the same time document and conclude the results based on their previous understanding and analysis. + Prepare the product tests through assembly of parts, connections of pneumatics and electrical systems, adjustment and preparation of equipment and cameras according to the specified requirements. + Keep in touch with the involved areas to communicate the results / conclusions and give them and extra support to understand the failure mode observed if needed. + Be aware to achieve the stablished cycle time and look for continuous process improvement. **Role Requirements:** + Associate degree in a technical field. + Knowledge in electronics measurements equipment. + Background in electronics and mechanics. + Background in materials is a plus. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Knowledge on MS office. + Have a passion for quality, attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and problem-solving skills. + Basic English skills. # Smarter _Together_ + Collaborating at Sensata means working with some of the world’s most talented people in an **enriching environment** that is constantly pushing towards the next best thing + Employees work across functions, countries and cultures gaining **new perspectives** through mutual respect and open communication + As OneSensata, we are working together to make things work together Click here to view Sensata Recruitment Privacy Statement (https://www.sensata.com/sensata-recruitment-privacy-policy) Click here to view our Sensata Recruitment Privacy Statement for China (https://www.sensata.com/sites/default/files/a/sensata\_china\_recruitment\_privacy\_policy.pdf) **NOTE: If you are a current Sensata employee (or one of our Affiliates), please** **back out of this application** **and log into Workday via the Company Intranet to apply directly.
