Laboratory Technician
Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist / Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to oversee routine analytical sample testing and support laboratory operations. This role involves supervising analytical testing functions, ensuring data accuracy, maintaining turnaround times, and supporting equipment and method validation processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in GC-MS and analytical chemistry, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.


Key ResponsibilitiesAnalytical Testing & SupervisionOversee daily operations of the analytical testing department, including sample prioritization and workflow management.Ensure timely and accurate generation, analysis, and reporting of analytical data.Maintain compliance with client-specific turnaround times and testing requirements.Review and approve analytical data and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.Equipment Commissioning & ValidationCollaborate with the General Manager and Operations Manager to assess instrument suitability for specific applications.Ensure all pre-installation requirements are met prior to equipment arrival.Assist with equipment installation, calibration, and performance verification to meet required specifications.Test Method ValidationDesign and implement validation protocols for analytical test methods in accordance with industry standards and internal QC requirements.Manage certified reference materials, reagents, and consumables required for method validation.Document validation processes and prepare comprehensive, technically sound validation reports aligned with accreditation standards.General Laboratory DutiesMaintain laboratory glassware through proper handling, cleaning, and storage.Apply working knowledge of Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, and insulating fluid analysis.Perform chemical analyses and support sample preparation, materials handling, and traceability.Accurately input customer and sample data into the laboratory database.Support equipment maintenance and perform additional lab functions as directed by management.

Required Skills & QualificationsDiploma in a technical field or a university degree in chemistry or a related discipline.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an analytical laboratory setting.Proficiency in GC-MS and a strong foundation in analytical and physical chemistry.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Proficient in laboratory information systems and general computer applications.Commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred AttributesExperience with method validation and laboratory accreditation processes.Demonstrated leadership and team coordination abilities.Familiarity with insulating fluid analysis and high-voltage equipment testing.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
