**Schedule:** Full-Time
**Shift** : Days - Monday-Friday - 6am - 2:30pm, alternating every 3rd weekend.

**The role youll contribute:** The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for managing assigned selected aspects of laboratory processes or shifts, which may include workflow, quality control process, writing/reviewing procedures, performance improvement activities, training of new employees, advanced problem solving for customers and coworkers, department equipment or computer maintenance and upgrades, or other tasks assigned. Assists department leadership with meeting goals in all areas. Work customarily involves analytical testing of blood and/or human biological specimens. Analytical laboratory testing generally requires a moderate to high degree of theoretical and practical knowledge and expertise in licensed area(s). Depending on campus and department, various pre-and post-analytical work processes are included in the work duties customarily performed; on-call hours may also be required. Follows laboratory policies and procedures; maintains quality control practices in the Laboratory. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Manages quality assessment and technical oversight, problem solving, scheduling, interviewing applicants, provides input for staff performance, oversees training and competency evaluations
Manages employees in hiring, coaching, or termination with limited supervision from leadership
May assist with Standard Operating Procedures and document control
Assess competencies according to Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations
Assists the Laboratory management with special projects as assigned.
Reads, examines, and interprets complex test results. Serves as a resource and addresses complex tests/procedures
Manages instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practices
Leads quality control and quality assurance testing
Assists with data collection and special projects, as assigned
Qualifications
**The expertise and experience youll need to succeed:**
**REQUIRED:**
Bachelor's in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution OR Bachelor's degree equivalency with 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses; or 24 semester hours of science courses that include: 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology; and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination; AND have a laboratory training program that includes: completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES or the CAAHEP (this training may be included in the 60 semester hours listed above); or at least three months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs testing OR Successful completion of at least a 50-week official US military medical laboratory procedures training course and currently hold or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician); or qualified and served as high complexity testing personnel on or before April 24, 1995 in a CLIA-certified laboratory as of December 28, 2024, and have done so continuously since December 28, 2024.
3 years of related work experience.

+ 1 year of Leadership Experience
+ Demonstrated proficiency with Bio-Rad Unity, Roche instrumentation, and Instrument Manager software.
