Lab Production Assistant
Location: Austin, Texas
Shift: Night
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Assistant to join our Hematology team in a high-volume diagnostic laboratory! This role involves assisting on the track with specimen processing, equipment maintenance, and supporting technologists in delivering accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist with loading and unloading specimens onto the hematology track system
+ Prepare and process blood samples for analysis
+ Monitor instrument performance and alert technologists to any irregularities
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment
+ Label, sort, and store specimens according to protocol
+ Perform data entry and verify patient information in the LIS
+ Support inventory management and restocking of supplies
+ Adhere to all safety, quality, and compliance standards
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ Experience working in a production or machine-operated environment preferred
+ Previous experience in a clinical lab setting is a plus
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.06 - $20.06/hr.
