The community youll be caring for:

Our dedicated, expert team at AdventHealth South Overland Park provides excellent care to communities of southeastern Johnson County, with 24/7 emergency room services, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery, advanced imaging center, physical therapy and more.

The role youll contribute:

Provides accurate and reliable laboratory testing services to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Performs laboratory tests, calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment. Ensures that laboratory test results meet established quality control standards, analyzes and interprets them. Improves laboratory practices.

The value youll bring to the team:

Maintains established productivity standards and supply expense metrics. Accountable for monthly departmental variances, budget, FTE, and expense variance reports/associated action plans

Assess competencies according to (CLIA) regulations

Represents the laboratory in either a leadership or technical role at organizational multidisciplinary or leadership meetings

May perform post-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, reporting results (including highly abnormal results) in accordance with established procedures. Provides and acts on technical and support information related to the elements of laboratory testing for all age groups, neonatal through geriatric patients

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications Bachelors in chemical, biological or clinical lab science, 5 years of clinical lab experience, 1 year leadership/management experience, National cert as MLS or MLT
