Corteva is seeking to hire a Laboratory Information Specialist. This position is based in Indianapolis but may require some travel (10 - 25%) to sites as required to implement and manage laboratory software systems.
The Laboratory Information Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and compliance of laboratory information managements systems (LIMS) and instrument software. The Laboratory Information Specialist will partner cross functionally to develop system requirements and strategies for global implementation of laboratory software systems. In partnership with Corteva computer system validation experts, this role will be responsible for maintaining compliance of global laboratory instrumentation, software, and electronic data archival.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Partner with internal experts and external LIMS vendors to develop, test, implement, and maintain laboratory information management systems (LIMS) globally.
+ Create system requirements, specifications, data flows, configurations, and trace matrices.
+ Lead the creation and management of Master Data files.
+ Provide user onboarding training and support.
+ Prioritize issue troubleshooting and provide problem solving and/or escalation for end users.
+ Maintain software project plans, timelines, and milestone deliveries.
+ Ensure data security and integrity through management, storage, and archival of electronic raw data.
+ Serve as a System Administrator for LabVantage LIMS and other laboratory applications.
+ Partner with Corteva computer software validation experts to establish risk-based or fit-for-purpose validation and quality management for laboratory software systems including laboratory instrumentation and LIMs.
+ Create and maintain SOPs for the compliance and use of instrumentation and software.
**What Skills You Need:**
+ This role requires a minimum of B.A. or B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related scientific area.
+ 5+ years of experience with using laboratory software systems.
+ 5+ years managing global development and implementation of laboratory software systems preferred.
