**About the Role**
The Laboratory Equipment Specialist will support the onboarding of new laboratory equipment, including site preparation, delivery readiness, and installation. The position requires collaboration withlaboratory operations, procurement, CBRE project management, facilities teams and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)to align timelines, resource readiness, and delivery schedules.
**What You’ll Do**
· Lead the onboarding and installation of new laboratory equipment process from initiation to completion.
· Maintain oversight of the new Laboratory Capital Asset Tracker to ensure real-time monitoring of asset onboarding status.
**·** Collaborate with lab operations, procurement, CBRE project management, and facilities teams to align timelines, resource readiness, and delivery schedules
· **Provide site preparation & delivery of readiness support:**
o Engage OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to confirm installation requirements and estimated delivery dates.
o Confirm installation site readiness including utilities and infrastructure.
o Verify lab readiness in advance of equipment delivery and coordinate final delivery schedules.
· **Support asset tagging CMMS entry:**
o Ensure proper tagging of all assets.
o Validate that the “Financial Reference” field in each GMARS asset record is accurately populated with the appropriate SAP number
o Confirm creation and accuracy of CMMS asset records.
o Guarantee that qualification documentation and onboarding checklists are uploaded into CMMS for audit-ready recordkeeping.
· Serve as the point of contact, addressing concerns or issues related to onboarding and installation.
**·** Provides the procurement team with completed **Capital Asset Onboarding Checklists**
**What You’ll Need**
+ B.S. degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
+ At least 3 years of experience maintaining laboratory equipment.
+ Working knowledge of liquid handlers and Illumina sequencers.
+ Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
+ Experience in lab equipment management and lifecycle management.
+ Strong organizational and project coordination skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
