As a member of our Laboratory team, you will perform diagnostic and consultative services that underpin our world-class care. From operating complex testing equipment to performing routine laboratory tasks, your work will contribute to over 20 million tests annually, supporting care for a growing patient population. In this role, you will process samples, perform various laboratory procedures, conduct waived laboratory testing and help manage workflow within the lab. The laboratory team at Tradition Hospital is a small, cohesive unit that collaborates closely to achieve excellence and provides extensive on-site training and continuing education opportunities. **This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working various shifts between 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. with weekend requirements.** **_This position will rotate between facilities._** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform various laboratory procedures. + Assist with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing, transporting and storing specimens. + Operate laboratory equipment and perform routine instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and minor repairs. + Perform quality assurance activities. + Maintain adequate stock of supplies and manage the inventory by transporting and distributing supplies.
