We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our laboratory operations team in an entry-level role. This position plays a vital role in supporting scientific research by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of lab equipment and contributing to daily animal care. Key Responsibilities
Animal Facility Support: Assist with the care, feeding, and general husbandry of laboratory animals under the supervision of veterinary or technical staff. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of animal housing units and surrounding areas.Laboratory Prep: Prepare laboratory media, buffers, and reagents following established formulas and safety guidelines. Support general lab maintenance and readiness.Sanitation and Waste Handling: Monitor and manage biohazard waste disposal, maintain clean workspaces, and follow safety protocols to uphold a compliant laboratory environment.Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain glassware washers, cage washers, and autoclaves. Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.Collaboration and Reporting: Communicate effectively with research staff and support teams, reporting supply needs, equipment issues, or animal care concerns promptly.Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Associate Degree0–1 years of laboratory, animal care, or sanitation-related experience (will train the right candidate)Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detailInterest in lab support, biological sciences, or research environmentsPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
