Be Remarkable!** + **We are part of Trinity Health the nation's second-largest Catholic Health System.** + **We provide compassionate care, award-winning expertise, and the latest technology** **What you will do:** + **The Microbiology Assistant is inoculating specimen onto culture media, which grows bacteria and/or fungus for technical analysis. The Microbiology Assistant does data entry into the LIS for each of the specimens received. The staff also fields call from nursing units, doctor offices, and physicians in regards to Microbiology.** + **Minimum Position has exposure to infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, fumes and sharps. The position requires some walking, standing, bending, pushing and occasional lifting of objects weighing from 20 to 40 pounds. Concentration is required when processing specimens and data entry into the LIS system. Must be able to handle daily interruptions during processing.** **What you will need:** + **​Education minimum High School diploma or equivalent is required. A College level biology or microbiology courses required.
