Labor and Employee Relations Business Partner
**Description** **Job Summary** The Employee & Labor Relations Business Partner will manage union interactions, conduct workplace investigations, and support compliance with labor and employment laws. This role is critical in advising managers, handling disciplinary actions, and ensuring fair and consistent workplace practices. **Primary Job Functions** + Serve as a key resource for employee and labor relations issues, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and federal labor laws. + Conduct investigations related to workplace misconduct, grievances, and policy violations. + Draft and review disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and other corrective measures. + Advise managers on labor laws, contract interpretation, and dispute resolution. + Support union negotiations, grievance processes, and labor-management discussions. + Develop and deliver training for managers on labor relations and workplace policies. + Work closely with closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention. + Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). + Assist with HR compliance, policy development, and employee engagement initiatives. **Education, Experience and Certification** **Required/Preferred** **Education Level** **Description** Required Bachelors Degree Related degree **Required/Preferred** **Years of Experience** **Description** Required 3 years Experience in employee and labor relations, preferably in a federal contracting environment. **Required/Preferred** **License/Certification** **Description** Preferred Certification PHR or SHRMCP Preferred Certification JD (Judicial Degree) **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** + Advanced knowledge of labor laws, union negotiations, and grievance procedures. + Experience conducting investigations and writing disciplinary actions. + Advanced communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. + Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. + Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred **People Management** Does this role have to manage other people? The base salary range for this position is $ 90,000 to $105,000.
