Responsibilities

This job focuses on performing electro-microscopic analytical tasks to support versatile requirements from business units. The person should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and have the capability to conduct high-quality, timely test based on BUs’ needs; ensure the instruments run in order by proactive maintenance and develop expertise for the SEM lab to adapt to a wider range.

Conduct SEM characterization on BU samples to meet the requirements from BUs.Perform SEM sample preparation using Ion Mill (cross-section polishing).Set up and maintain analytic instruments (SEM, Ion Mill and other relevant instruments of the Lab), including common trouble shooting.Communicate with customers to understand the key requirement, and deliver the analytical result timely in organized, logical and scientific manner.  Create, develop and update documents (SOPs, chemicals list, test record, etc.) of SEM lab.Ensure all daily works meet EHS requirements.

Requirement

Bachelor/Master degree of chemistry, polymer, semiconductor and material science background.Experience in SEM instrumental analysis (SEM, EDS, Ion Mill, etc.), 1+ years of work experience or 2+ years in academia is preferred.Preferably knowledge with analytical tools like TEM, FIB, GC/LC-MS, FTIR, DSC, TGA, etc.Capability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and manage time schedules.Good communication skills and team work.Good oral and written English.
