The Technician II is responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Follows engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process. Installs, modifies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints or other drawings. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Includes Machine Operator, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician roles.

This position Technician II reports to a supervisor in the Standard Desalt and Purified Tubes value streams of the located in Coralville, IA and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. Shift: Tuesday-Friday 4:30pm-3am

Training: You may be asked to train Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Perform the manufacturing tasks to transform raw materials into final products including decontamination process, product transfer, and maintenance connection software.

Operate instruments in the lab that are needed to complete the tasks by following all work instructions and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Strictly adhere to customer specific as well as general work instructions and SOPs.

Support daily management: assessment to drive problem solving with data and suggest countermeasures.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Associate degree in a science related field or eighteen months of lab experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency with computer skills with the ability to accurately use SOPs/aids in the safety minded production of oligonucleotides.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Bachelor degree and life sciences experience, preferred.

Performing under stress when confronted with emergent, critical, or unusual situations in which working speed and sustained attention are make-or-break aspects of the job.

Performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
