The role of the Laboratory Technician is to support the chemical testing group during various stages of the manufacture of products at Thetford. You will be working as part of a team to ensure the required tasks are performed following established practices and within the required time frames. We would love to see applications from candidates who have finished A Levels and have an interest in a career in Science, Graduates or experienced Lab Technicians.
The working hours are Monday-Friday and there is flexibility to work 07:00-15:00/08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00. Please note this is an on site role based in Thetford.
Role Responsibilities
Perform sample preparation / testing using basic laboratory equipmentParticipate in any laboratory investigations as requiredFollow Good Laboratory Practice whilst undertaking work within the laboratoryEnsure their own working practices adhere to Health & Safety regulationsHelp with the development of other team members by coaching and trainingSupport and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the laboratoryProvide support for the Laboratory Manager in any reasonable request relating to the laboratory operationSkills and Experience
A Level qualification or aboveAnalytical laboratory experience preferred but not essentialImpeccable attention to detailAbility to work in a methodical and organised mannerGenuine interest in a career in ScienceAbility to work to tight deadlines#IND-UKOPS
