Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Lab Technician within a leading R&D and Manufacturing Organization specializing in lawn, garden products, and pest control solutions. This role is situated in a national manufacturing and distribution site, ensuring the highest quality standards are met for our extensive range of fast-acting products.

ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment.Exhibit high levels of housekeeping practices to promote safety.Ensure detailed attention to maintain customer quality standards.Interact respectfully with colleagues and stakeholders.Maintain product standards within the quality SPC software.Place non-conforming products on hold for disposition.Calibrate all lab testing equipment.Perform various types of quality lab and tank testing.Manage the go/no-go verification process for tank use.Maintain COA filing and accurate testing logs.Oversee the incoming chemical tanker receiving process.Log and store incoming chemical retains.Manage the quality component of the daily rinse log.Pull and maintain needed production retain samples.Own and manage the five production retain rooms.Review and develop the production folder process.Conduct audits and build reports for production folder adherence.Handle document management effectively.Communicate cross-functionally to address quality issues.Maintain a positive attitude and motivate others in stressful situations.Utilize Microsoft Office and quality control software efficiently.Contribute to improvement initiatives.Adhere to all company policies, including safety and operating procedures.Essential SkillsProficiency in data entry and Microsoft Excel.Basic math skills for conversions and charting.Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Experience in a lab environment and computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree not required.Experience with sample management is ideal.Quality Assurance experience is a strong plus.Ability to identify and escalate issues in data or test results.Work Environment

This position is primarily based in a lab and office setting. You will spend 80% of your time in a cubicle/office environment and 20% in the Quality Lab or on the manufacturing floor. Expect exposure to a variety of instrumentation and cutting-edge products, providing an excellent opportunity for growth and learning in the pesticide and home protection manufacturing industry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
