Lab Technician
Job Title: GC Instrumentation Chemist

Job DescriptionThis role involves conducting a variety of chemical and physical tests following ASTM methods or industry standards across multiple test areas. The position requires expertise in equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GC instruments, as well as method development for these instruments.

ResponsibilitiesPerform numerous chemical and physical tests based on ASTM methods or accepted industry standards.Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot GC instruments.Develop methods for GC instruments.Record data on appropriate data sheets and report data to the LIMS system.Maintain quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories.Comply with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience with GC instruments.Proficiency in chromatography and quality control.Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biology.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.Knowledge in quality assurance, wet chemistry, and instrumentation.Work EnvironmentThe role involves shift work in a laboratory setting. The environment will require adherence to safety protocols and a focus on maintaining cleanliness and organization.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
