Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Long Beach, CA
Type: 2-month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay rate: $25–$28 Per hour
Overview:
Ecovyst’s Eco Services Group, a leader in sustainable chemical solutions, is seeking a Lab Technician for a 2-month project with strong potential for extension through the end of 2025. This role will focus on sample preparation for acids and routine laboratory analysis to support plant process control, quality control, and customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine laboratory tests for process and quality control
Prepare chemical stock solutions, standards, and reagents
Verify shipments meet COA and customer specifications (stop shipment if out of spec)
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
Retain samples and assist with customer inquiries
Record accurate data in SAP and Excel for shipments, quality, and compliance documents
Follow good housekeeping and safety practices in the lab
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent laboratory experience
1–2 years in a lab setting (chemical manufacturing preferred)
Knowledge of GMP and safe chemical handling procedures
Strong attention to detail and initiative
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
