Lab Technician Location: Farmington, CT Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule:  Rotating Shifts + Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM + Tuesday–Saturday: Early release around 1:30 PM on Saturdays About the Role: We’re seeking a detail-orientedLab Technicianto join a small microbiology testing lab focused on food safety and quality. This is acontract-to-hireopportunity ideal for candidates looking to grow their lab experience in a laid-back but fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for preparing samples, running pathogen tests, and supporting various microbiological procedures. Key Responsibilities: + Set up samples and run pathogen tests using PCR and other lab instrumentation + Conduct microbiology testing on food samples + Perform titrations and pipetting with precision + Apply aseptic techniques in sterile processing environments + Accurately enter data and adapt to changing workflows Must-Have Skills: + Experience withPCR,pipetting, andmicrobiology + Strong understanding ofaseptic techniquesandsterile processing + Ability to adapt to fluctuating workflows + Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy Preferred Qualifications: + 1–2 years of lab experience with a degree, or 4–5 years without a degree + Familiarity with food testing environments + Skills in titration and small-scale lab instrumentation Work Environment: + Small microbiology lab focused on sample testing for client data + No manufacturing—purely analytical work + Relaxed atmosphere with variable workflow based on client demand + Great stepping stone for career growth in the lab sciences Why Join Us?
