Let me tell you about the role!
The task of this position is to support the development of new products and/or improvement/modifications of existing products by creating and testing samples in the laboratory. In this context, analyses are co-ordinated and self-performed, analytical data are compared and discussed with the Technology teams. The employee processes shipping orders for samples in accordance with HSSEQ specifications and supplies raw materials to the laboratory. He coordinates repairs and maintenance of laboratory equipment and performs HSSEQ tasks necessary to operate equipment in the laboratory. In addition, he performs minor repair and maintenance of equipment himself, presumed that he has the required knowledge and skills.
What you will deliver!
• Work in all laboratories, test products and raw materials, support development and modification projects by blending and testing of products and communicate results with BP/Castrol-intern requester.
• Assist in smaller projects to support development projects and/or technical support.
• Coordinate the laboratory supply of raw materials, control their quality, maintain laboratory inventory system and process shipping requests of samples according to HSSEQ requirements.
• Coordinate repair and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Perform HSSEQ tasks related to laboratory equipment such as review of risk assessments and operating procedures. If applicable, perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks according to his knowledge and skills.
Experience and Qualifications!
• Completed chemical education or other education in a chemical lab or similar
• Several years of practical experience desirable, but not mandatory
• Procedural knowledge and craftsmanship desirable
