Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to assist principal investigators in conducting pesticide residue analyses and environmental fate studies. The role involves laboratory testing, preparation of reagents and calibration standards, as well as sample preparation from various matrices such as plants, soil, water, and animals for analysis using HPLC or LC-MS/MS techniques.
ResponsibilitiesAssist principal investigators in pesticide residue analyses and environmental fate studies.Prepare reagents and calibration standards.Weigh and prepare samples from various matrices (e.g., plant, soil, water, animal) for analysis.Conduct studies under Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).Perform QC review of data.Interact with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).Essential SkillsExperience with wet chemistry and calibration of analytical equipment.Proficiency in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GLP documentation and regulations.Experience with HPLC or LC-MS/MS techniques.1-3 years of relevant experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience or comfort working with radioactivity is a plus.Work Environment
The laboratory environment is equipped with advanced technologies such as HPLC and LC-MS/MS. The position requires adherence to Good Laboratory Practices and interaction with Laboratory Information Management Systems. The technician will work standard shifts, ensuring the precise and accurate conduct of studies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
