Lab Technician
The Laboratory Technician will provide technical laboratory and processing support and assist in Research & Development activities, including the development of new products and product characterization. This position must perform routine sample processing and basic laboratory assays under the direction of a supervisor and log process variables and results. This position will be responsible for laboratory maintenance activities and performing tasks across multiple projects timelines. Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team driven environment is required.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the management of laboratory maintenance activities, including lab upkeep, inventory, and safety documentationKeep clear and accurate records of incoming tissue and samples generatedRoutinely process samples in a timely fashion and according to established requirementsAssist with lab work associated with new product developmentSupport verification and validation testing, including test setup, sample preparation, and data collectionRoutinely perform laboratory assays and benchwork in a timely fashion and according to established protocolsAssist with written reports of process variables and resultsAccurately and thoroughly document procedures and results through the use of laboratory notebooks, protocols, reports, and recordsFollow all applicable Company test methods, work instructions, SOPs, and guidelinesAdditional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and related experience in an academic or industry laboratory settingOne (1) to three (3) years of relevant work experience in a laboratory setting performing routine and daily laboratory tasks.Ability to quickly learn and develop technical skills in laboratory environmentExcellent communications skills with the ability to follow oral and written instructions in a laboratory environmentSolid organizational skills to support laboratory functions, including record keepingAbility to time manage multiple laboratory tasks simultaneouslyAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with othersUnderstanding of basic laboratory safety procedures and good laboratory practicesProficiency in standard laboratory assays, including Bradford, BCA, ELISA-based assay, SDS-PAGE, requiredProficient in MS Word and ExcelPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
