Job Description
The primary role involves working in the Receiving area where incoming samples are processed and prepared for release to various testing groups within the laboratory. You will perform analyses on metal samples using a range of instrumentation and methods to ensure our alloys meet customer specifications. You will also prioritize incoming work following established procedures and facilitate the flow of samples from Receiving to subsequent testing areas.
ResponsibilitiesOperate milling machines, power shears, and hand shears to process samples to the appropriate size, shape, and mass for downstream testing.Maintain, calibrate, and operate various laboratory instruments.Prepare and analyze a variety of samples using multiple documented techniques, including Laser Diffraction Particle Size Distribution and TOX Chlorine.Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and manage data entry and lab testing.Essential SkillsAssociates Degree1+ year of manufacturing or lab experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with sample preparation and machine operationMechanical aptitudeData management skillsWork Environment
The position is based in a laboratory environment with a Pitman schedule (Group C+D), working hours from 7 PM to 7 AM. Week 1: work Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday & Thursday, work Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2: off Monday & Tuesday, work Wednesday & Thursday, off Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Enjoy long-term contract benefits, including overtime pay after 8 hours of work, 3-day weekends every other week, and a total of 182 days off per year. Attire is laboratory-appropriate clothing. Materials handled are used in aerospace, defense products, medical implants, and MRIs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
