Lab Technician
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our optical systems and satellite manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with experience in laboratory settings and maintenance of high-precision equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on laboratory and manufacturing equipment.Assist in the calibration and testing of optical systems and satellite components.Conduct quality control inspections and document test results.Maintain and troubleshoot optical testing setups and associated hardware.Ensure compliance with ESD and cleanroom protocols.Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory of tools and supplies.Participate in training programs and contribute to process improvement initiatives.Qualifications:
Associate degree in Optical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment for high precision optical products.Familiarity with optical testing methods and equipment (interferometers, power meters, fiber optic architecture)Proficient in the use of hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and laboratory equipment.Strong understanding of ESD control measures and cleanroom standards.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred Skills:
Experience with satellite systems and related technologies.Knowledge of CAD software (NX UGS) and technical documentation practices. Familiarity with PLM Software (Teamcenter) a plus.Certification in ESD control or clean room operations is a plus.Laser Safety Officer CertificationPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.70/hr.
