Job Description
As a Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the product and microbiology testing processes. This opportunity allows you to gain valuable skills and professional experience in a growing food manufacturing environment.
ResponsibilitiesConduct product and microbiology testing.Perform computer data entry and maintain records.Set up testing tables and maintain sample retention for daily samples.Test raw ingredients to ensure quality standards.Resample totes for nonconforming products and experimental purposes.Adhere to all GMP’s, HAACP’s, good housekeeping, and safety rules and regulations.Complete all individual training as outlined by the training matrix or management training schedule.Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Lab Lead.Essential SkillsProficiency in biology and quality control.Bachelor's degree in Biology or Microbiology (Associate's degree acceptable).Experience in laboratory settings.Knowledge of bacteria culture, food testing, and plating.Understanding of chemistry, microbiology, wet chemistry, and titration.Competency in diagnosis and inspection.Data entry skills.Proficient in pipetting techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious lab experience in bacteria culture.Work Environment
This position is based in a food manufacturing facility in Syracuse, NY. The work is conducted during the 2nd shift, from 2pm to 10:30pm. The role provides an excellent opportunity for a new graduate to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic lab environment.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
