Location: Fresno, CA
Schedule: During training it will be Monday-Friday.
Once trained, we will need one person for Sunday-Thursday 7:00 am-3:30 pm and one person for Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 am-5:30 pm.
Job Summary:
The Laboratory Technician I plays a key role in supporting daily laboratory operations, ensuring accurate and timely testing of dairy samples in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and regulatory standards. This position reports to the Laboratory Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency in all assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory testing on dairy samples with accuracy and efficiency to meet turnaround time goals.Register incoming samples and maintain accurate records for quality control and regulatory purposes.Enter sample data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS) promptly and accurately.Review and verify test results before submission to appropriate personnel.Identify and report process issues, suggesting improvements where applicable.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Ensure compliance with internal quality systems, SOPs, and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.Support product quality by identifying non-conformances and out-of-specification results.Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.Respond to client and internal inquiries with professionalism and technical accuracy.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and uphold ethical business practices.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field (preferred).Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation (preferred).Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with laboratory quality systems and regulatory compliance is a plus.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
