Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician to support testing and operations within our laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks ranging from preparation to execution of laboratory procedures, ensuring efficient and accurate testing processes.
ResponsibilitiesProvide laboratory support by weighing, blending, and preparing formulations for routine coating and tablet press equipment operations, spanning from lab to production scale.Prepare suspensions or granulations, set up and operate equipment, record data, and conduct cleanup tasks.Perform routine testing for formulation performance, including suspension pH and viscosities, gloss measurements, color measurements, disintegrations, and routine tablet testing for weight variation, thickness, and hardness.Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate measurements.Manage inventory of raw materials and laboratory supplies.Record test results electronically and provide feedback on observations made during testing.Maintain clean work areas and equipment.Prepare the facility for customer events.Essential SkillsKnowledge in chemistry.Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).Proficiency in viscosity testing.Ability to use pH meters effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a Scientific Discipline.1+ years of experience working in a GMP environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food industries.Work Environment
The role is based in a laboratory environment with a small team of approximately 5 people, encouraging a collaborative work setting where team members wear multiple hats. Once permanent, employees are eligible for bonuses, tuition reimbursement, and other benefits.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
