Lab Technician- Dairy Testing Description Job Description: Responsibilities: + Conduct various dairy chemistry analyses, including A1/A2 casein determination and rBST testing. + Perform mastitis DNA/PCR testing and prepare mastitis media plates. + Carry out milk microbiology testing and milk pregnancy testing. + Ensure accurate calibration of instruments and maintain calibration standards. + Prepare and analyze samples from milk producers and dairy product manufacturers. + Maintain detailed records of all tests and results. + Collaborate with industry experts to ensure the highest quality of testing services. + Provide responsive customer service and communicate results to clients in a timely manner. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field. + Previous laboratory experience, preferably in the dairy industry. + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation. + Familiarity with laboratory equipment and calibration standards. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
