JSG is looking for a part-time Lab Technician for one of our clients in San Jose. This position supports water quality analysis by performing laboratory testing, preparing chemical reagents, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with state standards, and utilizing lab systems and software to assist with accurate data reporting and quality control.

Responsibilities:  Assist with performing water analysis for chemistry parameters for general chemistry. Prepare chemical reagents and quality control standards. Maintain inventory and purchase supplies and reagents as needed. Perform quality control tasks to ensure adherence to State requirements. Perform laboratory safety inspections Qualifications:  Experience in operating basic laboratory equipment. Experience in quality control and quality assurance related tasks. Familiarity with the ELAP and/or TNI standard, or equivalent as it pertains to water/wastewater analysis. Some experience in field sampling and completing chain-of-custody documentation preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of applications, advanced-level knowledge of Excel and Word preferred. Experience with using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Requirements:  Valid CA Drivers License  Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. 2 years of Chemical, Biological, or Bacteriological Laboratory Experience OR at least 12 semester college unite of course work in Physical, Natural, or Earth Sciences may substitute for 2 years of experience
