Exciting opportunity for an experienced Oilfield Lab Technician in Shreveport, LA for a Global Oil & Gas Service provider. $20/hr+ based on experience with 12-hour shifts. Training in San Antonio up to 3 months.

Temp-to-Hire position$20.00 to $27.00 /hourFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredVarious shifts available (Sunday through Saturday)Performs quality assurance tests on company products, prepares laboratory reports before service delivery at the wellsite, and provides advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design for well integrity, drilling, and completions fluids.Develop the competency level required to perform advanced additive selection and integrated well construction fluids designs.Ensure that laboratory equipment is in clean, working condition and that waste is regularly disposed.Perform regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards.Perform risk analysis before each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.Lab Tech Oilfield Qualifications:
3+ years of oilfield experience or 1 year of cement lab experience preferredAssociates' or bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred, with no oilfield lab work experienceLab techs hired for Shreveport may train in San Antonio for up to 3 monthsThe company will provide hotels and will pay for the expenses of driving back and forthA valid driver's license & acceptable driving record are requiredApplicant will be subject to hair follicle drug testing & pre-employment physicalApplicant may be subject to a background checkApplicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle ReportPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
