Lab Support Specialist II

Mon - Fri 8 am - 5 pm

Unity Lab Services is a business segment that supports the Customer Channels Group and provides critical outsourced on-site services at customer locations.

This position is based out of South San Francisco, CA.

This position is passionate about service delivery excellence within Unity Lab Services! Specific activities relative to the job function include: operating customer procurement systems, stock inventories, precision cleaning and sterilization processes.

A day in the Life:Collect used labware from various labs and ensure dedicated points of use are fully restockedPerform specific tasks associated with labware operations, including precision cleaning, inventory management, quality control, and sterilization through autoclavingPartner with clients to understand their labware needs, providing timely support and ensuring labware availabilityCoordinates with Procurement and Sales Representatives on viable alternatives and lead timesFollows well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & work instructionsTake direction and communicates openly with Site Supervisors (and Team Lead) regarding daily duties. Makes decisions and uses available resources to meet customer requirements, independentlyPromotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and improvementsRaise customer concerns and quickly identifies the course of action with a goal of first call resolution within established turnaround timesRepresents Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations, expertly and positivelyKeys to Success:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperienceAbility to present and articulate points by verbal and written communications1+ years of dynamic proven experience in applicable field with GXP experience preferredAbility to establish and champion positive customer relationshipsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong interpersonal skills and proactive approach in all dutiesDemonstrate expertise in the ability to identify inefficiencies in any process and make recommendations for improvementDetail oriented, technically proficient, organized, problem solver, promotes team environmentWillingness to work overtime as the need arises

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $17.29–$25.93.
