In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Malvern, PA

Shift: Monday–Friday (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)

What we’re looking for 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in laboratory settings preferred.

Experience:

Familiarity with sample management systems and laboratory safety protocols.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and researchers.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the main point of contact for all research personnel regarding lab operations.

Perform daily equipment checks to ensure all instruments are functioning properly.

Monitor lab supplies and chemicals, including expiration dates and inventory levels.

Conduct routine safety inspections and coordinate waste removal to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.

Liaise with external service vendors for equipment maintenance and service needs.

Support laboratory testing, experiments, and analyses in accordance with established protocols.

Conduct routine assays, stability studies, sterility testing, and product evaluations.

Assist in the operation of manufacturing equipment and systems, particularly in product purification processes.

Participate in the assembly or sub-assembly of life science products and devices.

Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Additional Support Duties:

Under moderate supervision, provide direct benchtop support at customer facilities.

Execute routine laboratory support tasks such as media and buffer preparation, solvent and reagent mixtures, material weighing, and physical testing.

Maintain lab inventory, ensuring proper labeling and tracking of materials like chemical reagents, glassware, and gas cylinders.

Verify and maintain laboratory equipment, including balances, pH meters, sonicator, and cleaning glassware.
