We are seeking a dedicated Lab Processor to join our team. This role involves receiving and handling lab samples, ensuring samples are intact and correctly placed in designated areas, and labeling them accurately. The samples may include urine, blood, or stool for various departments such as Chemistry, Microbiology, and Cytology. The position requires being on your feet throughout the shift.
ResponsibilitiesReceive and handle lab samples.Ensure samples are not damaged or leaking.Place samples in the correct area of the fridge.Label samples accurately.Handle various types of specimens including urine, blood, and stool.Support multiple departments including medical, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Cytology.Stand and work on your feet throughout the shift.QualificationsExperience with production, automation and machinery, or warehouseHigh School Diploma or GED.Comfortable working with medical samples and other bodily samples.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Self-sufficient and able to handle repetitive, high-volume tasks.Work EnvironmentThis role involves working in a high-volume lab that supports all departments including Chemistry, Cytology, and Microbiology. You will be processing an average of 500-700 samples a day across 6 plates. The environment is fast-paced, requiring you to stay busy and stand throughout the shift. The dress code includes a lab coat, surgical mask, and gloves. This is a very physical role, and you need to be able to lift over 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.06 - $20.06/hr.
