+ Area of Interest: Leadership - Nursing + FTE/Hours per pay period: 1.0 + Department: Cardiology Administration- Met + Shift: Exempt + Job ID: 167973 Overview Shift: Full time Days; 24 hour accountability The Manager of Cardiovascular Invasive Diagnostic Services (Cath Labs) is responsible for the cardiovascular procedures performed within the cardiovascular service line. This includes Cardiac and Vascular diagnostic/angiograms, interventions, Electrophysiology studies and interventions, structural heart procedures, and prep and recovery of these patients o n the ILH, IMMC Campuses . Responsibilities + Serves as the development resource for cardiovascular diagnostics by working closely with staff, supervisors , Medical directors and service line physicians. Represents the service line to medical staff, department, sections and committees. + Responsible for clinical services. ( ie . Management of employee and clinical resources, standards of practice, evaluation of care and services.) + Responsible for the administrative services. ( ie . Development of budget and effective use of financial resources, marketing of services to the community, strategic planning, cooperative relations with other UnityPoint Health affiliates and services). + Examines measures and continuously improves operational processes, procedures and systems. + Collaborates with managers, is accountable for and produces aggressive quality, service growth and cost targets and results. + Guides the development of the staffs professional and leadership skills. Serves as a role model of UPH-DM Expectations for Excellence. Constructively coaches and counsels staff. + Maintains an open, honest, collaborative relationship with service line employees, the medical staff and the community. + Demonstrates leadership in achieving quality patient care by optimizing use of resources. + Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations. Qualifications + Education: + Master’s Degree Required; qualified candidates with a Bachelor’s degree are eligible but must submit an action plan upon hire. Master’s to be completed within 3 years . Experience: + Two or more years of progressing leadership positions in the healthcare environment. License(s): Paramedic Certification and /or Radiation Technician licensure in the state of Iowa will be maintained when appropriate.
