Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Lab Manager located in Shanghai Zhang Jiang.

Reporting to the Business Operations Sr. Manger, the Lab Manager role involves the management of several labs in Shanghai design center.

The Laboratory Manager plays a vital role in the overall safety of the laboratory and is responsible for managing the operations of the lab, This is an exciting opportunity to work together with many technical experts in the delivery of customer focused products and services to support China automotive business. the laboratory manager will manage several world class labs such as Environment Lab, EMI/EMC lab, Lighting Lab, Dark Room, Wireless Lab, 3D Printing Lab, Mini Assembly Lab, Automotive Lab, User experience Lab, Test development Lab, Mechanical Lab, EE lab and so on.

What a typical day looks like:

Oversee laboratory safety and ensures that the laboratory remains in compliance with all local, nation and related regulations. In cases where non-compliance is found, documents the instances as well as how they were abated.Forecast and do the public consumables managementCollect lab owners’ requirement and plan to implement, as the interface to office manager in the lab demand changes such as lab relocationLab instruments and equipment management includes but not limit to Equipment calibration, Coordination and management of lab internal resources, Chamber booking.Equipment maintenance, repair, and scrap, ensure all instrumentations/equipment is functioning properly.Ensures lab users have been trained on the correct use of the lab equipment, in addition to mentoring and disciplining lab users for not following safety policies/procedures that have been established for the lab.Quarterly Fixed Assets (CAPEX) forecast and Fixed Assets management includes Wishlist collection, judgement of whether reuse of the existing equipment, tracking the Fixed Assets approval and purchasing.Laboratory system construction such as CNAS ISO 17025 and so on

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Bachelor’s degree and above with engineering backgroundSolid knowledge and hands-on experience on Test instruments and machines.Strong managerial abilities and at least 3 years of experience in lab managementPossess excellent interpersonal communication skillsHas experience in laboratory system constructionGood self-organization.Good skills in written English.Good at office tools, able to produce high quality records/proposals/analysis reports.
