The Role:
MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced laboratory billing specialist. This specialist will oversee laboratory billing and ensure charges are posted accurately and in a timely manner. This specialist will play an integral role in the revenue cycle of the laboratory.

The Work:
Receives and responds to account inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolution of patient account issues.Reviews patient account history and contacts appropriate internal/external resources as necessary to investigate and resolve patient account issues. Refers/escalates issues to appropriate personnel as necessary.Assists with quality management of accurate billing (internal monitoring, coordination with supervisors to monitor trends-spreadsheet, process improvement etc.)Accurately enters manual charges (reference labs, legal alcohols, medical examiner etc.)Performs charge reconciliation of internal laboratory charges.You Have:
AS/Certification in medical coding/billing (either AS or certification is acceptable)Knowledge of lab testsCustomer service experience, multitasking, knowledge and ability to use may different systems.
