**Job Description**
Candidates must be located within commutable distance of Seoul, Korea.
As a Lab Automation Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you'll play a meaningful role for customers nationwide. You will supply them with solutions for automated robotic platforms. Depending on service coverage in other regions, you may also have the chance to travel outside of this region.

Join our national team effort to support the continuous development of biologic laboratory automation platforms and environmentally controlled automated incubators. You will play a collaborative role in providing support for these platforms with innovative software crafted for the dynamic lab of the future.
**Responsibilities**
+ Solve technical hardware problems and accurately diagnose sophisticated issues using documentation, schematics, and drawings.
+ Work and collaborate with internal and external parties in a thoughtful, courteous, and coordinated manner to meet their service needs.
+ Handle your schedule and administrative tasks, including expenses, travel, customer preventative care schedules, field case reports, and non-conformance reporting.

Your outstanding ability to resolve complex automation systems problems will set you apart. Additionally, your diverse research automation and diagnostic instrumentation knowledge will give to your success.**
**Education**
+ Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, with a focus on mechatronics, electronics, or robotics (Preferred)
**Experience**
+ 3 to 5 + years preferred experience working with various environmental controls and measurement, robotics handling systems, dynamic software schedulers, clinical customer, and providing stable hardware solutions.
+ Experience in field engineering of technically complicated devices in a clinical or research environment.
+ Understanding of measurement tools, such as CO2, O2, relative humidity, and multimeter operation.
+ Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and clear verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read detailed schematics (Electronic and Pneumatic).
+ Familiarity with general lab practices, PC hardware, and peripherals, and basic network setup.
+ Ability to freely communicate and fix with the distributed team using proficient English skills, both written and verbal.
+ Ability to work remotely and travel frequently.
**Physical Requirements / Work Environment**
Must lift 50 lbs. May work away from home for 1-2 weeks for installations in rural areas.
You can expect to work primarily in biological and clinical research laboratories and from a home office workspace.
