Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing and processing dairy enzyme samples for microbiological, chemical, and physical analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic lab environment that supports a large food manufacturing facility.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process dairy enzyme samples for microbiological, chemical, and physical analysis.Conduct routine quality control tests, including pH, fat, salt, and moisture analysis.Accurately record test results and maintain laboratory logs and databases.Assist in preparing reports for internal review and regulatory compliance.Clean and sterilize lab equipment and workspaces.Monitor inventory of lab supplies and reagents; assist in ordering as needed.Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and other relevant food safety standards.Essential SkillsData entryLaboratory skillsGMP knowledgeChemistryBiologyQuality controlLab techniquesMicrobiologyAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field.Prior lab experience in food, dairy, or enzyme manufacturing preferred.Familiarity with basic lab equipment and techniques.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work Environment

The position is based in a lab within a food manufacturing facility. The work environment is equipped with essential lab equipment and adheres to safety and cleanliness standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Germantown, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
