Job Title: Lab AssistantJob Description The Lab Assistant will operate within the stat lab triage department, handling a range of tasks independently. This role involves managing biohazard samples and ensuring their proper processing within the lab. Responsibilities + Receive samples from couriers and log them into the Lab Information System (LIS). + Match sample details to the correct patient records. + Transport samples to the appropriate labs for testing. + Monitor and log test results as they are completed. + Ensure the repeatability of these processes throughout the day. Essential Skills + High School Diploma or GED. + Basic knowledge of Excel and computer skills. + 0-1 year of experience as a lab assistant, specimen processor, or accessioner. + Comfortable handling biohazard specimens. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in laboratory operations, accessioning, and sample handling. + Familiarity with Lab Information System (LIS). Work Environment The work environment is within the STAT Lab Triage department, where the lab assistant will manage and process biohazard samples. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kirkland, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
